  • Explain how marketers use utility to increase customer satisfaction.

Assignment 1.3.4.1

  1. Make a copy of this Google Document, rename it Study Guide 3-4-(Your Initials), and move it into your Chapter 3 folder.
  2. Read Lesson 3-4 on pages 79-83.
  3. As you read, utilize this presentation to help you answer the questions in your study guide.

Assignment 1.3.4.2

  1. Create a new Google Drawing titled Supermarket-(your initials) and move it into your Chapter 3 folder.
  2. Use the internet to locate a map of Sioux Falls, SD.  
  3. Copy that map into your Google Drawing.
  4. Use drawing objects to mark as many locations of grocery stores/supermarkets as you can find.
  5. Assuming you live in the center of the city, address the following:
    • Add a textbox with a light red background to your drawing next to the store you would most likely patronize if place utility was the most important consideration and briefly explain why.
    • Add a textbox with a light orange background to your drawing next to the store you would most likely patronize if form utility was the most important consideration and briefly explain why.
    • Add a textbox with a light yellow background to your drawing next to the store you would most likely patronize if possession utility was the most important consideration and briefly explain why.
    • Add a textbox with a light green background to your drawing next to the store you would most likely patronize if time utility was the most important consideration and briefly explain why.
