This course is an introduction to the business world. Its purpose is to provide the student with essential background material and knowledge so that he/she may function in the business aspects of everyday life. It includes units on Global Business (Economic Systems and Social Responsibility), Business Organization and Management (Business Ownership, Entrepreneurship, and Career Planning), and Business Operations and Technology (Marketing, Business Technology, Financial/Risk Management). The student will also be involved in a simulation performing basic business activities as manager of a business in a model business community.
