When you are finished with Lesson 10-1, you will be able to:

  • Explain why the distribution function is so important to effective marketing.
  • Illustrate how a well-planned distribution system supports the marketing plan.

Assignment 10.1.1

  1. Log into your Google Drive account.
  2. Navigate to your Digital Marketing folder.
  3. Inside of the Unit 3 folder, create a new folder titled Lesson 10.  Everything you create in Lesson 10 will be stored in this folder.

  1. Obtain a copy of the notes handout.
  2. Read Lesson 10-1 on pages 362-365.
  3. As you read, utilize this presentation to help you fill in the missing parts on the handout.

  1. Create a new Google Document, name it Imbalance-(Your Initials), and move it into your Lesson 10 Folder.
  2. Using the internet, locate information on a situation where there is/was an imbalance of supply and demand resulting from a distribution problem.  Then write a short report (1/2 page plus) on the situation, identifying who is affected, the problems that have resulted, why the situation occurred, and what is/was being done to resolve the economic imbalance.
