After studying Lesson 2-1, you will be able to:

1. Describe the steps in the career planning process.
2. Identify the main sources of career information.
3. Discuss career fields with the most growth potential.

Assignment 2.1.1

1. Log into your Google Drive account.
2. Navigate to your MS Business folder.
3. Inside of the MS Business folder, create a new folder titled Lesson 2.

1. Obtain a copy of the notes handout.
2. Read Lesson 2-1 on pages 200-204.
3. As you read, utilize this presentation to help you fill in the missing parts on the handout.

1. Create a new Google Document titled Growth-(Your Initials) and place it in your Lesson 2 folder.
2. Using Figure 9-2 on page 203 of your textbook, select three of the career areas listed.
3. In your document, create a 3×4 table.
4. In the first row, place labels for each column:  Career Area, Additional Jobs, Various Skills Needed
5. In the first column, list the three career areas that you chose.  In the second column, create a list of additional jobs in that career area.  In the third column, describe various skills that would be necessary to work in this career area.
