Day 1-4

When you are finished with Lesson 1-1, you will be able to:

• Understand The Importance Of Studying Marketing.
• Explain What Marketing Is And Describe Important Marketing Functions.
• Define Marketing.

Assignment 1.1.1

1. Log into your Google Drive account.
2. Navigate to My Drive.
3. Create a new folder titled Digital Marketing.
4. Click the Share button and share this folder with your instructor.
5. Make a copy of this Google Spreadsheet, rename it Social Media Schedule-(Your Initials), and place it inside your Digital Marketing folder.
6. Inside your new Digital Marketing folder, create a new folder titled Unit 1.
7. Inside the Unit 1 folder, create a new folder titled Chapter 1.  Everything you create in Chapter 1 will be stored in this folder.

1. Obtain a copy of the notes handout.
2. Read Lesson 1-1 on pages 4-10.
3. As you read, utilize this presentation to help you fill in the missing parts on the handout.

Part I

1. Inside your Chapter 1 folder, create a new Google Drawing titled Marketing Defined-(Your Initials).
2. In your drawing, utilize pictures, graphics, and other visual representations of the definition of marketing and common activities that are a part of marketing.

Part II

1. Make arrangement with your assigned building principal to identify five important topics that they want represented to parents and the community about their building.
2. In your Social Media Schedule spreadsheet, change the information in cell A1 so (School) is replaced with your assigned building…ie “Middle School”.
3. Make arrangements with teachers to get media content footage of different happenings in your building.
4. Start gathering media content, writing captions, creating stories, and developing hashtags for upcoming week’s schedule.
5. Communicate with administrator as needed to ensure content gets shared as scheduled.
