When you are finished with Lesson 6-1, you will be able to:

• Describe the three stages of development for e-commerce businesses.
• Discuss the importance of the marketing concept to successful e-commerce.

Assignment 6.1.1

1. Log into your Google Drive account.
2. Navigate to your Digital Marketing folder.
3. Inside of the Unit 2 folder, create a new folder titled Lesson 6.  Everything you create in Lesson 6 will be stored in this folder.

1. Obtain a copy of the notes handout.
2. Read Lesson 6-1 on pages 210-215.
3. As you read, utilize this presentation to help you fill in the missing parts on the handout.

Part I

1. Obtain your partner from your instructor.
2. With your partner, search the internet for a successful e-commerce business.  In your research, find the following pieces of information:
   • What products or services do they offer?
   • How long have they been an e-commerce business?
   • Read and explain customer reviews about the company.
   • What information is available on their website?
   • Is there website informational or interactive?  How do you know?
   • Is the website appealing to visitors?  Why or why not?
3. Create a new Google Slides presentation in your Lesson 6 folder.  Name the presentation E-Commerce-(Your Initials).  Utilize the collected information above to make a presentation about your chosen e-commerce company.  You slide presentation should have a minimum of 7 slides, each representative of the questions posed above plus a title slide.  Your slide presentation should include the following:  template, color, images, transitions, and animation.

Part II

1. Make arrangements with teachers to get media content footage of different happenings in your building.
2. Start gathering media content, writing captions, creating stories, and developing hashtags for upcoming week’s schedule.
3. Communicate with administrator as needed to ensure content gets shared as scheduled.
